- Almost always a torsion spring. The door will feel extremely heavy and should not be operated.
- It is noisy, slow or jerky

- Power, remotes, wall control, safety beams or the opener itself. Each gets checked in turn.

Garage door springs and cables hold enough stored energy to cause serious injury. Everything else on a door is worth a look. These are not.
Call 0408 014 942- Do not adjust, unwind or replace a torsion spring. It requires winding bars and control of the load at all times.
- Do not replace lift cables while the door is under spring tension.
- Do not operate a door that is off track, crooked or has a broken spring.
- Do not disable the safety beams or the auto-reverse to make a door close.
- Do call and describe the fault. Advice over the phone costs nothing.
