Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This website is run by The Trustee for Fryk and Baker Trust (ABN 52 484 205 180), trading as T3 Garage Doors. It is a one-person business owned and operated by Tom Baker. This policy explains what happens to the personal information you send through the site.
T3 Garage Doors follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Those principles govern how your personal information is collected, used, disclosed, stored and disposed of.
A copy of the Australian Privacy Principles may be obtained from the website of The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal information is anything that identifies you. The enquiry form on this site collects four things: your name, your phone number, your email address if you choose to give one, and the description of the job you type in. It also records the suburb, service and door type you select.
You can also reach T3 Garage Doors by phone or by email, and any details you give that way are treated the same as a form enquiry.
That information is used for one purpose: so T3 Garage Doors can quote and carry out the work you asked about. It is not sold, rented or traded. T3 Garage Doors does not run a marketing mailing list, so you will not be added to one.
Where your enquiry goes
When you submit the form, the details are emailed to T3 Garage Doors. Getting them to him involves two service providers: Cloudflare, which handles the request, and Amazon Web Services, which sends the email. A record of the submission is also stored in a Cloudflare database so enquiries are not lost.
Both Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services operate servers outside Australia, so your enquiry may be stored or processed overseas. By sending the form you consent to that disclosure.
Cookies and browser storage
If you arrive from an advertisement or a campaign link, this site saves the campaign details in your browser for 30 days, so T3 Garage Doors can tell which enquiries came from where. That information stays in your browser and is only sent if you submit the form. Clearing your browser data removes it.
When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.
Sensitive information will be used by us only:
- For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
- For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
- With your consent; or where required or authorised by law
Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:
- Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
- Where required or authorised by law
Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which is kept only for as long as it is needed, or for as long as the law requires.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.
The Trustee for Fryk and Baker Trust will not charge any fee for your access request, and will not charge you for a copy of your Personal Information.
In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
If any detail T3 Garage Doors holds about you is wrong or out of date, let T3 Garage Doors know and it will be corrected.
